Start with the problems
List what residents complain about: parking violations, pool and clubhouse misuse after hours, package theft, car break-ins, trespassers or loud gatherings. The right plan depends on when and where the problems happen.
Mobile patrol
For many communities, random nightly patrol visits give the most value. The officer checks gates, pools, clubhouses and parking, handles violations and removes trespassers, and every visit is logged with GPS and photos the board can review.
Gate or overnight guards
Larger gated communities, or communities with ongoing problems, often need a guard at the gate or on site overnight. You can also combine the two: patrol most nights, a guard on busy weekends and holidays.
Show residents the results
The biggest complaint HOA boards have about security companies is not knowing whether patrols happened. Ask for time-stamped photo reports and a monthly summary you can share at board meetings. APS Security builds this into every HOA account.
